Let´s start our lesson by reviewing ADVERBS with this song:
By the moment we are getting focused on ADVERBS OF TIME and how they can tell us if we need to use the present or the past tense of the verb "to be".
First of all, let´s review the verb "To be":
Secondly, we are going to learn how we can know if we need you use the present or the past tense:
1- You need to identify the adverb of time. Ex. Yesterday evening I was at the park.
2- Next, you need to guess the meaning of the adverb. Ex. Yesterday= ayer
3- Then, you need to decide the verb tense you have to use. Ex. If we are talking about yesterday (ayer), I need to use the PAST TENSE.
4- Finally, I conjugate the verb to be. Ex. In our example, we are talking in the past tense, and the verb to be for the personal pronoun "I" is WAS. "Yesterday evening I was at the park".
